The information space is full of various stories about how our pets - cats and dogs - have unusual abilities: dogs foresee the dangers, cats come home themselves when their owners begin to look for them.
Could this mean that animals have a seventh sense?
Feelings in animals
The five standard sensory organs — vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch — are more or less well developed in both humans and animals. This was well known in ancient times. With the development of science, several more feelings have become known that help us and animals in the perception of something.
Biologists say there is a sixth sense, which provides the ability of some creatures to navigate using electric or magnetic signals. We use the expression “seventh feeling” to describe those feelings that cannot be explained and which cannot be assigned to any group of known feelings. It can be telepathic abilities, premonitions of misfortune, illness, natural disasters.
Telepathic abilities
Cats, dogs, and even parrots and horses, according to some owners, have telepathic abilities. For example, the dog senses when the owner returns home from work, even if the owner does not come home at the same time. The owners of the cats noticed that they only need to think about their pets, how they will appear, draw attention to themselves or come home on time.
Clairvoyant beings
We are constantly amazed at the ability of migratory birds flying to warmer climes, traveling long distances, to find their way back home. Even missing dogs find their way home. But how do they succeed? This seems inexplicable. The strange behavior of an animal that attracts attention can be an alarming signal.
Most often, animals thus want to warn their owners about the danger. Can animals be clairvoyant? In 2009, a British biologist observed the strange behavior of toads a few days before the dangerous L’Aquile earthquake in Italy.
He noticed that in the middle of the spawning season, almost all the males of common toads left their lakes, which was unusual for their behavior. It was 5 days before the earthquake. Three days before the earthquake, it was difficult to find at least one toad in the lakes. Animals returned to their habitats only after the end of the earthquake.
Similar phenomena before natural disasters have been seen throughout the world. Until now, the presence of extrasensory abilities in animals has not been scientifically proven. Therefore, you can only do one thing. Try to look at your pet with different eyes, watch it, maybe you will see in it unique abilities that have not been noticed before.
